What does metal forming cover?+
Metal forming covers everything that happens once prepared metal is shaped into a container: welding can bodies, drawing and redrawing cans, forming collapsible tubes and aerosols, and converting ends, caps and crown corks. The systems on this page inspect the formed container and the coating on it.
How is this different from the quality assurance range?+
Same equipment family, different entry point. This page is organised by the container you make; the quality assurance page is organised by the substrate you measure. If you already know you need a coating-thickness gauge or an enamel rater, start there. If you know you make aerosols or crown corks, start here.
