The stand is built for a wide variety of can shapes and sizes — 2-piece and 3-piece cans as well as aerosols, from small food cans up to large containers. The arm adjusts from the 50 cm working height up to 80 cm, so a short can and a tall aerosol are handled by the same stand with a height setting rather than a fixture change. It means the operator does not touch the gauge between cans. Once a can is seated and correctly contacted, the stand triggers the reading itself. Over a batch that removes a keypress per part, keeps the operator focused on handling and loading, and makes the timing of each test consistent instead of dependent on how quickly someone reaches for the keypad.

The probes sit in electrolyte every working day. Plated contacts corrode, and a corroded contact adds resistance that reads as a better coating than you actually have. Titanium is rust resistant in that environment, so contact resistance stays stable and readings stay comparable month after month. The contact blocks are blunt-proof as well, so you do not need sandpaper to restore a reliable contact.

Three checks are built into the stand. The can contact sensor confirms the can is properly contacted before a reading is taken, which addresses the most common cause of unreliable enamel ratings. The fill level probe confirms the electrolyte is at the correct level, so every can is tested against the same volume. And the built-in calibration resistors and verification switch let an operator prove the whole measuring chain at the bench in seconds, without special equipment.

The IS9015 connects to the IS810 EnamelPro™ semi-automatic enamel rating gauge. The gauge supplies and automatically adjusts the test voltage, localizes defects using reverse polarity, and logs each result. Connect and test — there are no adaptor cables or reconfiguration steps between the stand and the gauge.

Not the standard stand, but the IS9015-CRW Can Stand with Crown Adapter variant does. It adds a central crown adapter with wide contact blades while standard beverage, food and aerosol cans can still be tested, so one fixture covers crowns and cans. If you need a can stand and a different fixture on one gauge instead, the IS228B switchbox selects between two probes with a knob.

The arm and probe detach for cleaning and are washable, and the silicone cables are made from a specialized rubber that withstands repeated bending without breaking. The wetted path is corrosion-proof and the titanium probe set is replaceable at the bench without returning the stand, so routine upkeep is cleaning rather than repair.
