The IS228B is an enamel rater switchbox that connects two different enamel rater probes to the same electronics unit.
These can be enamel rating adapters and stands such as the IS9015 Can Stand, IS9017 Tube Stand, IS9020TMR End Adapter and many more.
The enamel rater switchbox is connected between the enamel rater gauge and the enamel rater adapter. Instead of connecting and disconnecting probes, the operator simply turns the knob from A to B to choose which probe is active. As a result, one gauge can accommodate two different enamel rater probes without any replugging.
