Common questions from canmaking QA teams.
How do I choose the right QA equipment for my production?+
Start from what you make. Flat sheets, formed cans, tubes and aerosols, foil, and ends each have purpose-built adapters and probes that work with the EnamelPro™ IS810 rater or the CoatPro™ IS860 gauge. Use the filter above to see the systems matched to your substrate.
What is the difference between enamel rating and coating-thickness measurement?+
Enamel rating measures coating integrity (porosity / bare-metal exposure) using the EnamelPro™ IS810 and its stands and adapters. Coating-thickness measurement quantifies lacquer film weight with the CoatPro™ IS860 gauge and its probes. Both feed into the Innolytix® IS1100 software.
Can one gauge cover several product types?+
Yes. The EnamelPro™ IS810 works across flat sheets, cans, tubes, ends and foil by swapping the matching stand or adapter, so a single gauge covers most of your line.
Does the equipment connect to software?+
All measurements can flow into Innolytix® IS1100 for data visualization, trend analysis and reporting across enamel rating and coating thickness.
We did not follow the standard. We set it.
Innosen has been building enamel rating and coating thickness equipment for metal packaging for decades. First we built the probes, then the gauges around them, and eventually the end adapter that the industry now treats as the reference came out of that work — including units that reach the market under other brand names.
More recently we closed the loop with our own gauges — the EnamelPro™ IS810 and CoatPro™ IS860 — so the full system now comes from a single source.
So when you buy our probes, gauges, adapters and stands, you are buying from the people who designed them, hold the drawings, machine the parts and stock the spare probes. Engineering answers, calibration guidance, spare parts and lead times come from the source rather than from a label.
